Saturday January 18

Flemington (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to dead 5)

Race 6 No. 4 Pocket Rockets

Loves the Flemington straight (2 wins from as many attempts at the track/ trip), beaten only a length by Broken at Listed level 3 starts back, won first-up last campaign.

Race 8 No. 1 Decircles

Improves with racing (10 starts for 1-3-1 first and second-up, 8 starts for 2-2-2 thereafter), races well at Flemington (10 starts for 2-4-2), last start third at Listed level reads very well for an RB90 race.

Randwick (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to dead 5)

Race 3 No. 1 Bayrir

Raced well first-up last prep on his Australian debut when second to Coup Ay Tee (meets Under The Sun 1.5 kilos better off for beating him by 1.5 lengths that day), his international form at Group level would be good enough to win this.

Race 8 No. 5 Agent

Races bets fresh (8 starts for 2-4-0 first and second-up, 14 starts for 2-2-2 thereafter), 8 starts for 2-4-1 at the trip including a second to Sessions and a fourth to Heart Testa last prep.

Doomben (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to dead 5)

Race 4 No. 6 Angusroy

Improves with racing (8 starts for 0-1-2 first and second-up, 17 starts for 6-2-2 thereafter),  won his first start at this distance range last Saturday, quick back-up is a positive sign that he’s in good order, gets weight off a number of the other fancied runners.

Race 8 No. 14 Stargrill Boy

Takes a couple of runs to reach his best form (6 starts for 0-1-1 first and second-up, 8 starts for 2-3-1 thereafter), won last start at his 4thrun of the campaign,  4 starts for 2-1-0 this trip, drawn nicely in gate 3.

Race 9 No. 8 Country Command

Won her only previous run at the track/ trip, 5 starts at the trip overall for 2-2-0, only 2 unplaced runs in her whole career (never on the track in one of them), drawn well in gate 5.
