Saturday March 8

Randwick (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 4 No. 5 Express Power

Improves with racing (7 starts for 1-2-1 first and second-up, 6 starts for 3-1-1 thereafter), two solid runs so far this prep including being beaten less than 2 lengths by Ecuador last start, 2 wins from as many starts over 1600m.

Race 6 No. 2 Aerobatics

Races best fresh (13 starts for 4-1-1 first and second-up, 13 starts for 1-1-1 thereafter), overall record at this trip isn’t great but has won a Listed over 1300m and a Group 3 over 1200m within her last 5 starts, handicap ratings suggest that she’s in nicely at the weights (only 1 kilo above the limit).

 

Bendigo (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to slow 5)

Race 6 No. 4 Hazard

Improves with racing (10 starts for 2-2-1 first and second-up, 4 starts for 3-1-0 thereafter), her two runs back (third to Knoydart and second to Bonaria) are outstanding from for this race, 12 career starts for 5-3-1 on tracks rated dead or better.

Race 7 No. 6 Bass Strait

Huge drop in grade from a Group 2 WFA race (beaten just over 5 lengths by Fiorente) into this, beaten less than 4 lengths in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap in the spring over this trip, his last start below Group level was an easy win at Caulfield, gets in only 0.5 kilos above the limit weight.
