Recommended Bets

NT

NY GIANTS @ CAROLINA: 1.5 UNITS ON CAROLINA -1 AT $1.91 (CENTREBET)
I love the Panthers this year. It is such a shame they are coached by an incompetent fool who is more conservative than Tony Abbott after confession. Carolina are a much better team and I anticipate them taking full advantage of the Giants’ inability to hold onto the ball.

TAMPA BAY @ NEW ENGLAND: 1 UNIT ON TAMPA BAY +7  AT $1.96 (LUXBET)
This line is ridiculous for a game in which neither team are likely to score many points. The Bucs have a good defence but can’t move the ball. Tom Brady is frustrated by the group of misfits, crackheads and fools he has been lumped with. This should stay within a touchdown.

DETROIT @ WASHINGTON: 1 UNIT ON DETROIT +2.5 AT $1.90 (BET 365)
The Lions are actually a very good team on both sides of the ball this year while the Redskins are set to be this year’s big faders. They are behind the eight-ball with Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris does not look like he is going to have the same impact as he did last year. The Lions need to mature some but on talent along they should win this.

CB

HOUSTON @ BALTIMORE:  1 UNIT ON BALTIMORE +1.0 AT $2.05 (CENTREBET)

Aren’t these two teams essentially of comparable strength in 2013? Didn’t the last two years of playoffs highlight that the Ravens had a clear edge in 2011 and 2012? Granted, the Ravens have been sketchy so far this season, but falling in a deep hole to the Chargers and trailing the Titans by 8 points at home late in the game is hardly a ringing endorsement either.  Throw in the Ravens’ home field record in recent years and I have to grab the home underdog.

NY GIANTS @ CAROLINA:  1 UNIT ON NY GIANTS +1.0 AT $2.00 (CENTREBET)

Behind door number 1: 2-time Super Bowl champions Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning start the season 0-3.

Behind door number 2: Ron Rivera and Cam Newton start the season 0-3.

One of those outcomes seems to roll off the tongue much more easily to my mind.

CLEVELAND @ MINNESOTA:  1 UNIT ON MINNESOTA -5.0 AT $1.91 (CENTREBET)

The Vikings were 7-1 at home last year (3-6 on the road including playoffs) and get back home for the first time this season. The Browns were 1-7 on the road last year and have scored a total of 16 points so far this season. Taking on Brandon Weeden (or Jason Campbell if Weeden is out injured) on the road seems like a good strategy.
