The 2013 Willie M Medal: Round 20

It would appear that the Brisbane Broncos recruitment team closely follows this column. In a week where the Broncos have seemingly changed direction, they have told Peter Wallace (second in the 2013 Willie M Medal) to find another club, just months after warning Penrith off after they steamed in with a large (and ridiculous) offer. Scott Prince (also riding high in the Willie Ms), has also been told his services will not be required in 2014. Both are the right decisions – just look at the leaderboard, which never lies.

My bet is James Tedesco which will definitely garner a lot of points in the game. I'm a great fan of the team and hope to see the list of schedules after the pacquiao vs rios news to be shown soon.

Surely Anasta was worth 3 points?!  Did you watch the game?  Same with Maurice Blair- he was carving it up for the Storm hardly worth 2 points.

i agree anasta was just so below nrl standard it was like watching an under 14s halfback

  4. Larrycorowa says:

Seems you are rigging the Willie M's to give Marshall a parting gesture from the game. Anasta's performance was amongst the worst I have ever seen from a NRL player.

I'm no Peter Wallace fan but as a halfback he makes a good replacement hooker and I agree his votes this week seem a little harsh. I thought Anthony Mitchell and Joel Riethmuller had much worse games. It should be noted though that Nick didn't vote on that game.

Again with the Peter Wallace bashing. He played 21 minutes at hooker, made 17 tackles, missed none. Went back to the bench. Hardly qualifies as 2 points. Caught not watching games again it seems – did someone read the stats sheet, thinking he was playing 80 mins at halfback, and declared that he hardly made any runs or kicks, so therefore worthy of a Willie?
