The 2014 Willie M Medal: Round 19

Filed in NRL, Willie M by on July 21, 2014

Jamal Idris’ return to first grade has been, to put it kindly, average at best. To tell the truth, it has been a horrific return. He was absolutely horrific against the Roosters, missing tackles and running sideways, showing no awareness and almost no energy. Idris may think he is above football but the fact is he is being paid as a professional and should start acting like one.

  1. Mike Butterfield says:

Still have not seen how Konrad Hurrell got KOd chasing a bomb, Warriors lost momentum when he went off.

  2. Triggaz says:

BJ Leilua has dodged one there Nick. Scoring a try didn’t make up for the 17 errors he came up with.

On another note, funny to think it was only a year or two ago that some pundits were talking up Reece “The Marshmellow Man” Robinson as an Origin bolter. Please.

  3. Luke says:

Bit harsh on Jamal there mate.

  4. Milky says:

Guys – is there a biased against backline players? Leader board doesn’t have any forwards

  5. Jason says:

You are being very kind to Ben Barba. I can only assume it’s because he was on the winning team. Even his own coach lost confidence in him and moved him from fullback, but didn’t quite have the minerals to hook him from the field. I’m fairly certain that every Warriors try came from one of his missed tackles or poor reads.
