Try Line Picks: Round 16

JT is off and the biggest game of the last 20 years is intact!
Ratings suggest a few false home favourites this weekend!
Round 16 Making the Nut Round Selection:

Eels – Line: 5.00 Bet Units: The Eels are playing very good football – defensively they are sound and Kearney is starting to really influence this area. The move of Maguire, a natural ball-player, to 6 has been well thought. This allows Hayne to float wider as required, have a real ball playing 2nd option at 2nd receiver, and a 3rd kicking option – Maguire plays so slow, great for an Eels side that can be flippant at times. Also, the bench of the Eels is offering plenty at the moment in Allgood, Shackleton, and Horo in particular. The issue this week for the Raiders will be their spine – it is still the poorest rating by far in the NRL. Tongue and Buttriss offer little creativity from dummy-half in what is probably the most influential position in the game, there 7 is talented no doubt but grossly inexperienced, Massey in a similar boat and McCrone lumped with all reponsibility to create scoring chances – unfortunately young McCrone also has some mistakes in his current game. Although backing up from Monday, the Eels are riding a confidence in their ability but not delivering points so expect that to convert to tangible results very soon! The Eels should win in Canberra and kick-start their year. Take the line or Head to Head, we are taking the line (+4.0).
