Round 22 Making the Nut Round Selection

Dragons – Line: 5.00 Bet Units: The Dragons, overall, rate only slightly less than the brilliant Storm – they are hardly out-of-form getting to great leads in their last 2 games, however Bennett has it spot on – the attitude to close out the game and be ruthless has not been there…it will be back on Friday night with a return of Dean Young, and to a safe and trusted game-plan! Tigers fans have every right to be happy, but the side has literally played 20 minutes of great footy this year to run over the top of the Sea Eagles last Friday night – they still bumbled their way to half-time, bombing tries, missing tackles and ill-discipline. The Tigers are an average rating team full of super talented players – the centre pairing of Lawrence and Ayshford is brilliant, but the issue lies inside them – Marshall is a a superstar, can win a game on his own but he can put his side under pressure – when this happens Lui struggles and Farah tries too hard. The Tigers spine, as a unit, is poor – individually high-quality. The Dragons will shut down the Tigers with defence, whenever the Dragons side struggles Bennett sends them back to basics – tight middle-third and fringe metres, long kick from Soward, premium chase, no mistakes, strong disicpline in defence – all the things a flamboyant and fluid Tigers despise. Ratings state the Dragons are by far the superior side, an adjustment in tactics and renewed attitude and the Dragons can get on a roll all the way to the Finals starting against the Tigers! Take the Dragons to cover the line
