Preliminary Final Tip (please note: time is the local time for the home side)

Monday June 16, 7:18 PM  Firebirds v Magic

Bookmakers’ line:  Firebirds -5.5

Ben says:  When these two teams clashed back in round 14, it was the Firebirds who came out on top 59-55 on the back of a solid defensive performance led by their captain Laura Geitz. In what will be the third finals clash between the two, Firebirds have won the previous two and will also draw confidence from the fact that haven’t lost in Brisbane this year. For the Magic, they are coming off a dramatic last quarter turnaround in their minor semi-final win over the Swifts but will want to maintain four quarter consistency against a Firebirds team that got to within two goals before going down to the Vixens in the major semi-final. Just like both semi-finals last weekend, this game could go right down to the wire but I’m tipping the Firebirds to get up and make it an all Australian Grand Final. Firebirds by 3

Recommended bet:  Nil
