Flemington (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to dead 5)
Race 4 No. 1 Medvedev
Improves with racing (6 starts for 1-0-0 first and second-up, 7 starts for 2-2-1 thereafter), nice run second when fourth behind The Wingman in a stronger grade than this, won with 59 kilos over 1900 metres last prep so the trip/ weight should pose no problem.
Race 6 No. 2 Chase The Rainbow
Forgive his last start effort (when he wore bar plates for his first-up run, which are coming off this time), 5 starts for 3-1-0 when you remove his first-up runs, in his first prep he rebounded from a first-up failure to win second-up, trialled really well before his first-up flop, a Group 2 winner only four starts ago!
Warwick Farm (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to dead 5)
Race 5 No. 5 Eigelstein
A very sharp improver with a couple of runs under his belt (12 starts for 1-2-0 when first or second-up, 10 starts for 3-4-3 thereafter), won third and fourth-up last prep over 1400 and 1500 metres, then ran second to Prince Cheri when conceding him 2.5 klios.
Race 6 No. 9 Pleaides
Subtract her first-up runs and her career has 7 starts for 3-2-1 (the only miss being at Listed level), won her last start when second-up, also won third-up in her last prep, only start at this track/ trip she ran second after being three wide with no cover.
Gold Coast (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to slow 7)
Race 2 No. 8 Black Jet
Subtract his first-up runs and his career has 7 starts for 5-0-1 (the only miss being over 2200 metres when lugging 59 kilos), won his only previous start over this trip, also won his last two runs this prep comfortably.
Race 7 No. 8 General Exhibit
15 starts for 6-4-2 overall, 2 wins from 4 races at the Gold Coast, two runs at the trip for a second and a forgive run in the Group 2 Queensland Guineas, two runs so far this prep for a photo second and a win, drawn well, gets weight off a number of key rivals here.
