The Early Line: Rep Weekend

Filed in NRL, The Early Line by on April 18, 2012

Australia enter the Anzac Test at Eden Park against New Zealand as 8 to 9.5 point favourites. The Kiwis have beaten Australia only twice in the last 15 meetings dating back to the Kiwis' 2005 Tri Nations victory.  Both of those wins came in Brisbane with the Kiwis losing the three Tests in New Zealand 30-18 (Oct 2006), 58-0 (Oct 2007) and 34-20 (Nov 2010). The Kiwis have not won a mid-season Test against Australia since 1999 but the margins in the last two have been close. I smell and upset here. Bet 1 unit on New Zealand with 9.5 start.

No total bet.

Country have opened 4.5 to 6 point favourites against City in this much-loved and much-necessary affair. Country have won the last two but they have split the last nine 4-4-1. Country have a much stronger team and I'd be surprised if they didn't run in a big score but this is not a game to bet on. |
