Try Line Picks – FREE Making the Nut Round 2 Selection

Filed in Other by on March 13, 2013

Titans – Line: 3.00 Bet Units: In a top tier match against the Sharks, the Titans showed enough to all they will be a better team in 2013 – the pack they boast is excellent with Bird, Myles, Taylor exceptional raters; their interchange is NRL best with Taylor, Bailey, James and Falloon who was great in defence in Round 1. The Titans outside backs have been a problem in recent years, but Idris looks fitter (albeit he should be playing in the forwards) and Takairangi is the modern day centre – big, rangy and with ball playing skills. The young halves have plenty of talent and upside, Sezer and Kelly play straight and are happy to run to the line and take a hit – they will only get better each week.

The Raiders will be without loose-wheels Dugan and Ferguson this week, if only these two realised how important they are to the Raiders framework – Raiders fans must be tearing their hair out. Fensom, their best forward will have to play injured this week but they need him; compare the interchange bench, the Raiders have Brett White returning from a knee recon, workers in Edwards and McIllwrick, with Learoyd-Lahrs to provide prop rotation with Shillington and Tilse – a massive advantage to the Titans here. It is difficult to see the Raiders stopping the go-forward of the Titans in this one; the Titans ran for 1555 metres last week against probably the best pack in the comp – the Raiders running for 1024 metres against the Panthers.

The Raiders will struggle in this encounter, Furner has his work cut-out; they are coming off a hot Sunday afternoon game, miss their best two attacking weapons and will battle to stop a Titans pack with speed, size and skill. The Titans will open their account in 2013 with a comfortable win – take the Titans to cover the line.
