Try Line Picks: Round 6

Filed in Other by on April 6, 2012

Sharks – Line: 5.00 Bet Units: Cracking local derby this one! The Sharks are doing everything right on the back of a simple "Dragons-like" game plan – they have strong discipline and have conceded less penalties then any other team this year. Their defence is effective and strong, with only last week against the Panthers where they have missed more than 29 tackles this year. The pack is beautifully balanced with Gallen leading and providing not just go forward, but lovely football passing at the line; Bukuya is rating the house down and is a real weapon on the right edge; Smith, Gibbs and Ross are doing a great job – what is impressive is the bench contribution from Fifita and Graham. The Dragons pack will be under real pressure this week, in particular Young and Prior – both look slightly off the pace in 2012. The front row and prop rotation of Merrin in particular is excellent. The key for the Dragons as always will be the ability of Soward to find the ground with his kicking – the Sharks have some very good kicker chases, especially John Morris from marker, in for De Gois this week. If the Sharks can contain the kicking game of Soward, their pack can get on top in this one – points will be a premium and the likes of Carney will need a top shelf 80 minutes to conjure up 2 to 3 tries. The Sharks can make it 4 in a row, take the Sharks at the line (+2.0 to +2.5)
