ANZ Championships – Preliminary Final Tip
The Melbourne Vixens may be waiting in the Grand Final, but who will face them? In a battle for long white cloud bragging rights, the Northern Mystics host the Waikato/ Bay of Plenty Magic. With the stakes for both sides extremely high, we’ve called Three Feet Radio’s own Ben Carbonaro back in to give us the lowdown on this matchup.

Preliminary Final Tip (please note: all times are the local time for the home side)
Monday July 16, 7:40 PM Northern Mystics v Waikato/ BOP Magic
Bookmakers’ line: TBC
Ben says: The Mystics made last year's Grand Final and were one of most of the improved teams in the competition – such good form has continued into this season as they set the early pace as the best performed New Zealand based team. It continued for much of the season until the Magic finished the season with nine consecutive wins. While this preliminary final is a Mystics home game, there is certainly some added intensity that is associated with finals netball and the fact that Magic have made it through to the ANZ Championship Grand Final previously counts in their favour. In what will be a closely contested and high intensity game, I am tipping the Magic by 5.
