Saturday July 20

Flemington (tips based on a track rating range of good 2 to slow 7)

Race 6 No. 3 Exceptionally

  • First time she’s been in a 2000+ metre race below stakes grade for some time, ran a narrow third to Folding Gear and Mr O’Ceirin in the Listed Naturalism Stakes (over this distance) when second-up last prep, Flemington is her best track (10 starts for 2-2-1, 27 starts for 2-3-6 elsewhere), only 2.5 kilos over the limit after the claim.

Race 8 No. 7 Bia Diamond

  • Strong run when a narrow second to Koe last start, gets better with racing (6 starts for 0-2-2 first or second-up, 8 starts for 3-5-0 thereafter), drawn nicely in barrier 6, gets in on the 54 kilo limit.

Eagle Farm (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 7 No. 2 Gundy Son

  • Bombed the start badly in the Ramornie Handicap so forgive that run, beat home all of the rivals he meets in this race who ran in the Group 3 Healy Stakes (when fourth to Howmuchdoyouloveme) and the Listed Chief De Beers Handicap (when second to Pentasia), Eagle Farm is his best track (17 starts for 4-2-2 there, 32 starts for 5-7-4 elsewhere)
