Saturday July 27

Caulfield (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 5 No. 8 She Goes To Rio  

  • Her best form comes when fresh (6 starts for 3-1-1 when first or second-up, 5 starts for 0-1-0 thereafter) or when kept to distances of less than 1400 metres (7 starts for 4-2-1 in those scenarios), last fresh effort was a third to Miss Stellabelle at Listed level, 3 starts for 2-1-0 at the trip.

Race 8 No. 13 Clang And Bang

  • Improves significantly with race fitness (10 starts for 1-0-2 when first or second-up, 28 starts for 7-6-4 thereafter), worked home nicely late when seventh to Offenders when second-up, drawn well to race handier to the speed this time.

Randwick (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 6 No. 8 My Destiny

  • Excellent return off an 18-month layoff when third to Master Harry, has improved in his second-up run in each of his previous preparations, won his only previous start at Randwick, before his long break won at Listed level beating Ready To Rip.

Doomben (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 5 No. 9 Pure Purrfection

  • Drew widely and settled well back when resuming so that ran can be forgiven, 9 starts for 4-2-0 at the distance, last preparation ran second to Delago Bolt and then to Funtantes at this track in better quality sprint races than this.

Morphettville (tips based on a track rating range of dead 4 to slow 7)

Race 6 No. 4 Perfect Punch

  • Should improve significantly now third-up from a spell (8 starts for 0-1-2 when first or second-up, 6 starts for 3-0-1 thereafter), won his only previous run at the track/ trip, all previous wins have come over 1500 to 1800 metres so the step up to the mile will be ideal, drawn well.
