Saturday June 14
Flemington (tips based on a track rating range dead 4 to slow 7)
Race 6 No. 3 General Peekay
Track was considered too firm for him last start when unplaced at Listed level, two runs prior to that this campaign were both very good, won at this distance before, won at Flemington before, drawn well to get an easy run in transit.
Ipswich (tips based on a track rating range good 2 to dead 5)
Race 5 No. 8 Tukiyo
Form through Srikandi at her last 2 starts is outstanding for a race like this, meets Jazz Song better at the weights for beating her home when they last met, drawn well, races near the speed which is an advantage at the tight-turning Ipswich track.
Race 6 No. 6 Black Cash
His run in the Group 2 QTC Cup (when 4th to Sacred Star after drawing wide and racing 3-wide with no cover) was fantastic, draws gate one this time and can push forward much more easily in a race where the speed isn’t obvious, has won at trips up to mile so can be tough through the line.
