The 2013 Willie M Medal: Round 22

 

Manu Vatuvei won’t win the Willie M Medal this year but his performance on Sunday is worthy of note. We all know Big Manu is capable of a stinker and he pulled one of those out against Manly. While he committed four handling errors, it was his work in defence that was particularly astounding. He showed the litheness of a toilet block and the turning circle of former WWF champ Yokozuna. He is wonderful with the ball but fairly heinous without it.
