The 2013 Willie M Medal: Round 25

Oh, the power of the Willie M Medal! Such is the fear it engenders in rugby league circles these days that Raiders-cum-wannabe-rugby winger Sandor Earl has confessed to peptide use and trafficking rather than risk winning the award. While only an outside chance, two more outings of rubbish could have seen him pinch the time-honoured award. If there is one thing that should be taken from this whole Sandor Earl saga it is that peptides don’t make you a very good player. They can’t improve your intelligence, they don’t teach you how to catch and they certainly don’t appear to give you courage. If it is any consolation, Sandor Earl will likely be a part of the Willie M Team of the Year, announced next week.

Uate should have received all 6 points, purely for dropping the ball over the line.

Maybe Pomeroy has set his standard so low he looked good. But almost gonna say it was his best game of the year from the view point of someone at shark park. He defence was top notch.
