The Punter’s Pal: All Too Easy for the Guru
It was all too easy on the weekend with the Guru winning big!! All Too Hard and Muzaleem gave us a double in Melbourne while the Aussies made it a clean sweep against the Windies @ $7.00. We also went 3 from 4 in Aussie & UK soccer with the Heart, Stoke and Aston Villa all getting up at lovely odds. What a weekend!!!

Racing
This week we witness the return to racing of Black Caviar and the $1.06 looks overs!!! It’s a tricky card at Flemington with big competitive fields.
Flemington r5no3 Spending @ $4.40- not disgraced last start and her form was franked by Octavia last Saturday. Forgive her in an open race
Rosehill r1no7 Frozen Rope @ $3.00- horrible ride last week, back up on him
Rosehill r2no2 Red Tracer @ $2.90- group 2 winner that is good fresh and loves her home track. If Capital Commander softens up Steps In Time it will help
Rosehill r6no6 Bennetta @ $3.80- a huge step up in grade for Bennetta but as predicted by the Guru in January- she is top class.
Rosehill r8no3 Under The Sun @ $3.70- will be better once he gets out a little further but in true Gai style he will be revved up for this 1st up
Soccer
The Guru has continued his hot streak and this week we concentrate solely on the A-League. It’s FA Cup weekend in the UK so odds on and potential upsets are on the menu. Another week in the A-League and another coach gets the sack, the Guru is taking the Glory on for another week and hoping the new coach can’t turn it around.

Cricket
The Aussies are off to India for a tough tour. The four Test series will be an examination. The Guru doesn’t think Australia can win the series and, just quietly, we are a good judge!! We don’t bowl spin very well nor do we play spin very well. The second one is the big sticking point. Lyon is tidy and our quicks will keep us in it. However, our batting stinks. Watson must open and get us moving for us to be any chance.

India’s Leading Runscorer- Pujara is the new Dravid. His defence is as tight as they come, will bat a long time – our guys need to stick to the plan @ $4.00

Super Rugby
This comp seems to start earlier and earlier every year! For the first 4-6 weeks, most people don’t realise it’s even on! Last year the Guru tipped you the winners @ $13, this year we are afraid we can’t take the $6.50. SBW leaves a huge dent in their midfield. Every team will be gunning for them. We are going to be boring and take the Crusaders @ $4.50. Over this longer season, cream should rise to the top.
