The Friday Fast Break: Week 11

Filed in Other by on December 16, 2011

Adelaide v Wollongong (Friday, Adelaide -4.5 to -5.5)
The two bottom teams square off on Friday night in a game that will play a major bearing on the wooden spoon. The Sixers are strongly favoured, playing on their home court, but they are a lowly 1-4 in Title Town this year. With Wollongong beating New Zealand and pushing the Crocs on the road this year and with Oscar Forman in good nick, the Hawks look the play.

New Zealand v Cairns (Friday, New Zealand -9.5)
I have ridden the Breakers all year and will continue on Friday night. Thomas Abercrombie is playing like a beast at the moment, hitting double-doubles in two of his last three. Take the minus.

Gold Coast v Perth (Saturday, Gold Coast -1 to -1.5)
I don't trust the Blaze or the Wildcats at the moment. Gold Coast have made a habit of losing games they should win while the Wildcats seem to be a touch overrated on the road this year. Adris Deleon and his speed matches up well with Perth and I lean to the minus here but no bet.

Melbourne v Townsville (Sunday, Melbourne -3.5)
This Tigers team is not much good without Patrick Mills. When these two met in early November, Eddie Gill sliced the Tigers up. I would not be surprised to see the lumbering Tigers struggle against him again. Bet the plus.

Recommended Bets
Wollongong +5.5 at Centrebet at $1.95
New Zealand -9.5 at Luxbet at $1.91
Townsville +3.5 at Luxbet at $1.91
