Try Line Picks: Round 15

Filed in Other by on June 17, 2011

The Cowboys are by far our best betting team in 2011 and we expect that to continue in Round 15.

Cowboys – Line: 5.00 Bet Units: The Warriors are without their defensive heart-beat in Michael Luck this week – this is a monumental blow to a team struggling after the bye (they lost to the awful Roosters and the Tigers ran them down after leading by 3 tries). Mentally they are not there at the moment, similar to how they started the season. The Cowboys have an excellent forward pack outrating the Warriors easily – the front-row is dynamic in Scott, Tamou, Ashton Sims, and the under-rated Ah Mau. They will miss Hall this week, but gain Bolton into a starting spot, and with Tariq Sims on the other side Thurston has two great hole runners to feed all night. Dallas Johnson will just do his job! We like the improvement in Ray Thompson, defensively he can be put under pressure but holds his own – he is starting to put his own mark on games in small but classy ways through a great kick-chase, backing up well, clever kicks and great talking in defense. The Warriors have picked Inu at centre in a move to deliver points, however this could back-fire in defence with wide running back-rowers – young Shaun Johnson looks promising, but like Sam Williams at the Raiders they are asking him to do a massive job. Cowboys to cover the line (-4.5 to -5.5) in Townsville on Saturday night.

TLP Key Stats for Season 2011 after Round 14
