The Friday Fast Break: Week 16

Filed in Other by on January 20, 2012

Cairns v Wollongong (Friday, Cairns -6.5 to -7.5)
Cairns got the money over the Hawks last week in Wollongong by 2 and with the Hawks 2-4 on the road and in plenty of trouble, the Taipans should win. A lack of scoring options though doesn't allow big minuses in Cairns games to be bet though.

Sydney v Perth (Friday, Sydney +4.5 to +5.5)
Tough game to figure out. The Kings are too inconsistent to get a proper grip on. No play with a  lean to Perth.

Gold Coast v Melbourne (Saturday, Gold Coast -8.5)
The Tigers have lost four straight and are up against it up on the Gold Coast in a game where Stephen Hoare celebrates his 450th match. Melbourne just can't get anything going. If the Blaze weren't so ravaged by injury, I'd be all over them but the line has me a little concerned here.

Townsville v Wollongong (Saturday, Townsville -8.5)
Met two weeks ago in Wollongong and the Crocs won by 15. The Hawks just punted Showron Glover. This is the backend of a two-day road trip. This has to be a play on the Crocs.

Adelaide v Cairns (Sunday, Adelaide -2.5 to -3)
The Taipans won in Adelaide two weeks back but the 36ers have been showing plenty of hustle of late. If Daniel Johnson can dominate the board then this game is going to the home team. Try Adelaide.

Recommended Bets:
Townsville -8.5 (v Wollongong) at $1.91 at Luxbet
Adelaide -2.5 (v Cairns) at $1.91 at Centrebet
