Round 23 Making the Nut Round Selection

Cowboys – Head to Head: 5.00 Bet Units: Another great game this week involving the Broncos – Lockyer breaks the all time record for games played and the Cowboys welcome back the best players in the world in the respective positions, Thurston and Scott. This will be a packed house – the forward battle is the key. The Broncos will miss Hannant big time and the prop rotation is a real match up – Scott, Tamou and Ashton Sims up against McGuire, Anderson and Hala – ratings suggest the Cowboys have the edge here – McGuire and Hala could be overawed by the occassion. The back-row advantage belongs to the Broncos in Thaiday, Glenn, Parker, Gillett and Teo – class everywhere here! The back-row forwards of the Cowboys is solid in Johnson, Cooper, Hall, Bolton with young tearaway Tariq Sims potentially the game-breaker. The wing / centre match up rates brilliantly with the Cowboys boasting a clear edge – the defense of Tonga and Tate is the key. The most under-rated winger in the competition is Ashley Graham, he is safe and is great from dummy half – the game is the biggest in the careers of Reed, Beale, and Hoffman. Thurston will bring so much to this football team – passion, energy, and a winning attitude before you even start talking about his skill-set. Thurston will probe on the fringes all night though Cooper, Sims, Tonga and Tate – this is where the the Cowboys will make inroads. The Broncos are a great defensive unit, however ball playing players that can create before, at or through the line can beat the Brisbane side as they can be less mobile than other packs. Lockyer is playing outstanding football – the tries he was involved in last Round were vintage and top shelf – a double handle in the try to Hodges and a great inside ball to Gillett. No doubt he is very important to leading an inexperienced team home. This game is so big, it is in QLD and the state will literally stop to watch it – this occassion is finals like and the youth of the Broncos will be tested like never before – the experience of Bowen, Tonga, Tate, Thurston, Payne, Johnson, Scott, and Hall can be enough to get the Cowboys home. The Cowboys out-rate the Broncos with the return of Thurston and Scott – take the Cowboys at the line or Head to Head – we are taking Cowboys to win.
